From casting to world building

For thirty years creative production has meant renting reality by the hour. Models, locations, light and weather. Now reality is being built instead — and that changes not only how images are made, but what a brand can own.

Renting reality

Think of what a classic campaign production looks like. A location is booked, a team is flown in, casting takes weeks — while the weather does whatever it wants. A rainy Tuesday in November could eat an entire budget. Most of the cost was never creativity but logistics.

The shift away from that model is no longer a trend spotting exercise. It is production reality. Klarna produced over a thousand AI images in a single quarter in 2024, and Mango ran a fully AI-generated campaign the same year. In summer 2025, AI models appeared in a Vogue ad for the first time. The question for a brand is no longer whether, but how.

From image production to world building

The new process does not begin with a shoot. It begins with a world. The aesthetic is locked into what we call The Look, the characters are built as a fixed ensemble in The Cast, and the environments are designed as recurring stages in The Stage. Content is only produced once the world stands.

The point of the order is simple. When the world is locked, every new image is on-brand by default, and production no longer has to start from zero for every campaign. Instead it keeps playing inside a system that already knows how your brand looks, feels and behaves.

What it means for buyers

Concretely it means faster iterations, unlimited scenography and a level of consistency across channels that classic production could rarely afford. The same character, the same light and the same tone in everything from ecommerce imagery to campaign film.

And an honest limitation. A world does not build itself. Tools without creative direction produce interchangeable content, however advanced they are. That is why we say studio and not software. Technology executes — but people with taste decide what is worth executing.
